Prospective Graduate Students

Graduate studies at the School of Civil and Construction Engineering encompass a wide variety of courses. Our graduate program currently enrolls about 70 students involved in millions of dollar of cutting-edge research.

General Information

En route to earning an advanced degree (MS, MEng, or PhD) in Civil or Construction Engineering, graduates have the opportunity to focus their studies on one of six different concentration areas:

In addition, the school also offers degrees in Ocean Engineering (MSOcE) and Master of Business and Engineering in Construction Engineering Management (MBE)

Graduate Cooperative Program

Graduate students in Civil Engineering may also be interested in the GECOP program, the graduate extension of MECOP, the Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP). The program offers students a high quality, paid industrial experience and related academic activities while pursuing a degree at OSU. Because the needs of the graduate student are specialized, the program has extra flexibility to offer the best internship experience.
